Dr Cecilia Green (PhD in Sociology and Education, University of Toronto) is a historical sociologist of race, class, gender and the colonial state in the Caribbean and is project lead for Surviving Storms Past: archives and oral history.

Her extensive experience includes research with women workers in export-processing factories in the Eastern Caribbean (a community-based participatory research project) and research on the new Chinese presence in the Anglophone Caribbean (Chinese state activities and private entrepreneurial migrants).

Dr Green’s consultancy experience includes Dominica-based workshops on Grant Writing, Community Tourism & Sustainability for local community tourism organizations. Dr Green works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University.
