An Archive Intern’s Podcast

Kaila-Ann Guiste (a student at Dominica State College + Create Caribbean Research Institute) recently completed the Surviving Storms Past Archive Internship at Dominica’s National Documentation Centre & Archives. Here she digitised historic reports, newspaper cuttings + dispatches from historic storms that have affected Dominica throughout its colonial + post-colonial past. In this podcast Kaila Ann reflects on significant hurricane events, how her research snowballed, the courage of Dominican recoveries + the value she gives to public research on hurricane recovery.
